Marc Irwin is a pianist, composer, arranger, and recording artist, who uses his diverse talents in the fields of jazz, musical theater, classical, contemporary, and world musics.

Marc is a native New Yorker whose Broadway credits include Cats, City of Angels, Crazy for You, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Romance, Romance, and Sunday in the Park with George. Marc was an assistant conductor for the international company of A Chorus Line.

Marc has worked as assistant musical director, assistant conductor, and pianist at the Kennedy Center on Merrily We Roll Along, Bells are Ringing, Purlie, and Where's Charlie? Marc performed on keyboards for the Kennedy Center's Beauty and the Beast, By Jeeves, Damn Yankees, Dreamgirls, Kiss Me, Kate and Showboat.  Marc has performed with the national touring companies of Dreamgirls, In the Heights and The Wiz. Marc performed and designed sound for Harry Belafonte, performing on two albums and traveling throughout Europe, Japan, Zimbabwe, and the United States.  

Marc has released six jazz albums collaboratively with Crossings, Handmade Music and Urban Energy as well as a solo release with Iris Records, A Few Moments More.

Irwin holds a DMA in Composition from Johns Hopkins' Peabody Institute and has written over thirty arrangements for the Peabody Children’s Chorus which have been performed across the US and Europe. 

Most recently, Marc is a pianist and musical director for The Capitol Steps and the Annapolis Shakespeare Company. Marc continues as a producer, musical director, and pianist for albums and cabarets for New York musical theatre singers and works on promoting his quintet, MIQ.  Working from his home recording studio, he teaches piano, theory and composition.
